چکیده
Objective Foot and/or ankle (F/A) problems may be encountered in medial uni-compartmental knee (UKA) patients postoperatively due to the limb alignment changes and alterations weight bearing of F/A. This study aimed evaluate risk factors incidence foot arthroplasty patients. Methods Patients who underwent UKA between 2016 2019 our clinic were evaluated presence F/A was recorded. Radiologic evaluations included hip angle (HKA), proximal tibial angle, posterior slope talar tilt inclination, dome mechanical axis (TDMA), talocrural (TCA) measured on preoperative follow-up long-leg standing radiographs. The range motion, Q angles, muscle strengths measured. Visual analog scale, physical performance limitations, patient-reported activity limitations for all with reported additionally Functional Index. Results Forty-four (38 female, 6 male; mean age 58.66 ± 8.6 years; BMI 31.30 3.81, period 34.22 18.95 months) study. There 13 (29.5%) problems. Postoperative comparison without showed statistically significant differences only WOMAC SF12 health sub-scores ( p = 0.002, 0.003, respectively). no postoperative change TDMA > 0.05) contrast 0.006). difference TCA measurements groups 0.79). Comparison radiologic demonstrated HKA (−2.82 2.53 vs. −0.80 3.12, 0.033). Conclusion adversely affecting functional status frequent cohort residual varus deformity a factor this. Therefore, if slight is at patients, should evaluated.

Dynamic Balance, Pain and Functional Performance in Cruciate Retaining, Posterior Stabilized and Uni-Compartmental Knee Arthroplasty
Background: With the perceived pain and poor function experienced following knee arthroplasty, patients usually feel un-satisfied. Yet, a controversy still persists on the appropriate operative technique that doesn’t affect proprioception much. Purpose: This study compared the effects of Cruciate Retaining (CR) and Posterior Stabilized (PS) total knee arthroplasty (TKA) and uni-compartmental kn...
متن کاملHow accurate is anatomic limb alignment in predicting mechanical limb alignment after total knee arthroplasty?
BACKGROUND Anatomic limb alignment often differs from mechanical limb alignment after total knee arthroplasty (TKA). We sought to assess the accuracy, specificity, and sensitivity for each of three commonly used ranges for anatomic limb alignment (3-9°, 5-10° and 2-10°) in predicting an acceptable range (neutral ± 3°) for mechanical limb alignment after TKA. We also assessed whether the accurac...

متن کاملAnkle rotation changes and its influences in knee osteoarthritis
Background : Biomechanical factors are known to be important in knee osteoarthritis (OA) development and progression. This study was designed to determine changes of hamstrings muscle activation, knee adduction moment and ankle rotation angle in two knee osteoarthritis (mild and moderate) and a healthy control group. Methods: 16 females (10 with mild and 6 with moderate medial knee osteoart...
متن کاملWeight changes following lower limb arthroplasty: a prospective observational study.
The aim of this study was to assess patterns of weight loss/gain following total hip or knee joint replacement. Four hundred and fifty primary lower limb arthroplasty patients, where the current surgery was the last limiting factor to improved mobility, were selected. Over a one year period 212 gained weight (mean 5.03kg), 92 remained static, and 146 lost weight. The median change was a weight ...
